Step 1: Make Some Early Decisions - Begin by asking yourself a few questions and take time to seriously consider your answers. What is the purpose of the website? What goals are you specifically trying to accomplish? Who is your audience? Will you be selling products on your website? What kind of information is essential to share with your customers on the site? If you are unsure of any of these answers, consult your colleagues or even your customers for assistance. After all, your customers will be the ones visiting your website and utilizing its features.
Step 2: Gather Information - Now that you've answered a few of your preliminary questions, begin to gather information. This includes writing some text and finding photos relevant to your product or services. You'll also decide how many pages you think you will need and what will go on those pages. If you need assistance, I am more than happy to help you with your copy writing and product photography. I was a full time professional photographer for seven years.
Step 3: Meet with Andy - When you feel confident you have established the goals of your website and decided on content, contact Andy for a free, no obligation consultation. Each project is unique and special - you will receive one-to-one care.
Step 4: Design Website Concept - If you want to work with me I will begin the design process. I will produce a website concept (which is similar to a rough draft) within a scheduled time frame. You may request edits to the look and feel of the concept during this step, until you are satisfied with the results.
Step 5: Build Website Pages - After the concept has been approved, I will move to the construction phase of your website. During this process I will take your concept and create a website from it.
Step 6: Test, Revise, Launch - After the website is finished, and I've had a chance to do a final proof read with you, I will make any necessary changes and launch your new site.
Step 7: Market & Maintain - After your project is complete and the site is launched, you will need to tell everyone - and I mean everyone - about your new website. I can offer general marketing advice so you can point clients to your new online home. In addition, I can make regular updates and layout changes to your website to help ensure potential customers return often.
